Program areas at Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health
Membership program: nsrh has formalized a membership program that provides entry points for a wide range of individuals: from nursing and midwifery students (who will enjoy free membership through their first year after graduation); to practicing Nurses, lpns, midwives, and doulas; to retired practitioners; to srh advocates including doctors, activists, and educators. By joining our membership program, nsrh members become part of a trusted community that unites people, knowledge, and networks from across the nursing field to improve the Health and wellness of our communities. They also gain access to curated professional development experiences within their field, as well as education opportunities and advocacy tools.
Advocacy: nsrh has a long history of student-led organizing and advocacy. Our chapter organizing network is a nationwide community of nursing students and educators at nursing schools throughout the country that organize and advocate for the inclusion of Sexual and Reproductive Health, rights, and justice within nursing education. With support and resources from nsrh, our chapters are organizing for curriculum reform and coordinating Sexual and Reproductive healthcare and Reproductive justice training on their campuses. We also offer a fellowship program for nursing students that focuses on providing traditionally under-represented Nurses with the resources and support they need to become leaders in srh.
Education and training program: our education program is comprised of our online institute, our training in abortion care (tac) residency program, and our webinar series. Through the online institute we offer curated accessible and affordable learning modules. These modules are designed to help users increase their knowledge and proficiency in srh and acquire needed ceus. Our curriculum is also designed to help our users better understand how Sexual and Reproductive Health intersects with critical concepts and issues in Reproductive justice and Reproductive rights.
