Supporting Nurses in becoming board ready by educating and training them to learn about the expectations of serving on a board and to leverage connections to find a board to serve on. In addition, providing professional development resources in order to prepare Nurses for board service.facilitated board placement opportunities with 63 searches and 63 confirmed placements. These board placements impacted the following social determinants of health: education and development (15%), health literacy (15%), and access to healthcare (15%). Increased nobc database registrations to 26,300, with 10,902 board seats filled by Nurses, 3,845 serving, who want to serve on an additional board, and an additional 13,721 who want to serve on a board. Increased nobc news monthly newsletter subscribers to 19,937 with 47% open rate for combined nobc newsletter and new board opportunities outreach. Engaged 1,400 active users/month via nobc website. Presented at over 20 conferences, in person, and virtual meetings. Implementation of two significant grants: american Nurses foundation grant ($46,996, 2023 allocation of multi-year $95,745 total grant project funding), "supporting underrepresented Nurses for successful board service, and aarp and the future of nursing: campaign for action, an initiative of aarp foundation, aarp, and the robert wood johnson foundation, health equity innovation fund grant award ($49,950), "strengthening Nurses' voices to improve health equity: a community based approach:"
Educating decision makers about the benefit of including Nurses on their Boards to improve health and healthcare systems at the local, state, and national levels. Launched inaugural value of Nurses on Boards survey april 3-17, 2023, with 3,905 completed surveys; kent state university survey research lab, collaborators aonl and amn healthcare.
