University of Wynwood is a cultural programming initiative for the literary arts that hosts visiting literary speakers and readers with provided funds for published writers to travel to Miami to give readings and lead workshops. The organization also hosts lectures in Miami-Dade County in conjunction with other cultural organizations. Additionally, University of Wynwood produced the eighth iteration of the O, Miami poetry festival, a month-long event with 79 events and 30 projects that reached 79 out of 80 Miami-Dade County residents.
