Ronald Mcdonald House (rmh) - the Utah rmh provided 16,170 free overnight stays for 1,929 pediatric patient families (5,048 individuals) in 2022. the average length of stay was eight nights. Rmhc focused its resources on families with the highest acuity children, traveling the greatest distance. In addition to free lodging, we provided daily hospital shuttles, family groceries and 21,770 free meals.
Ronald Mcdonald hospitality cart (rmhc) - the hospitality cart within ogden regional medical center provided pediatric patient families with 4,115 individuals with free respite items.
Ronald Mcdonald family room (rmfr) programs - our hospital-based programs welcomed 6,335 in-patient families (12,670 individuals) for 46,530 visits to our three rmfr programs within primary children's hospital in 2022. the rmfr program offered free showers, laundry, and served 16,430 free meals for patient families. the ten overnight sleeping rooms within our rmfr programs offered 2,415 free overnight stays for parents of hospitalized children. In december 2022, we also launched a new rmfr program for the university of Utah hospital newborn intensive care unit, with showers, laundry, grab and go meals and overnight stays within three guest rooms.
