Transit Arts and Arts in the house: modeled after exemplary and award- winning programs dating back to 1991, these programs offer free, year round programing to underserved youth in the city's most challenging neighborhoods through partnerships with the columbus federation of settlements and dozens of other community organizations. These programs engage over 1,000 young people, ages 5 to 21, annually in active learning that helps them develop a sense of personal responsibilty, develop skills in creative, constructive action, and boosts self-esteem, confidence and awareness of community resources.
Statewide Arts Education services include: Arts Education resources: individual workshops and keynote addresses by staff, board members, and paid presenters throughout the year around the state to provide resources and tools to aid those individuals and organizations who seek to support art Education. Also includes numerous website features and resources. Professional services: professional development training for Arts teachers and teaching artists - the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education continues to support professional development programs for Ohio's k-12 Arts teachers and others in Arts assessment literacy. Content is based on 45 performance- based Arts assessment and extensive assessment literacy learning materials developed by project partners and available online to all Ohio teachers. Oaae also supports professional development in the areas of Arts integration, adaptation & inclusion, parent engagement, gifted art student identification, and others. Additional professional services include general consulting services and fiscal agency. Partnerships: working in collaboration with other organizations/partners to carry out specific, often onetime, projects to support the Arts and Arts Education in Ohio.
