The Ohio Chamber of Commerce Research Foundation promotes a healthy economy in Ohio by exploring strategies to envision Ohio as a place where businesses thrive, communities are safe and strong, and public policy supports economic freedom. In 2021, the Foundation released a report on the business income deduction (BID) in Ohio along with a third-party study. The Foundation also deployed four quarterly surveys in 2020, receiving around 1,600 responses. Results of these surveys were presented at various meetings held by the Foundation. The Foundation is located in Columbus, OH.

The prosperity pulse: a quarterly survey of Ohio business leaders to measure and track economic health of Ohio. We presented the results at various meetings held by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. No program service revenue as all revenue for this program was contribution/grant revenue.
Research projects represent smaller projects considered and ultimately determined to be future projects, not good investments, or just did not have much activity during 2020. These related to benefits cliff analysis, lunch/learn/lead opportunities, economic dashboards and employment services tax. Most of these costs incurred represent payroll and related benefits.
The blueprint for Ohio's economic future: the blueprint for Ohio's economic future is a comprehensive report that focuses on the key areas for economic growth and improvement for the state of Ohio. Based on the findings and recommendations in the blueprint, the Ohio Chamber will leverage the report to provide policy solutions that will drive economic growth in the state for decades to come. The report focuses on 6 strategic ares of opportunity to increase Ohio's competitiveness: (1) education & workforce, (2) sense of place, (3) taxes and costs, (4) business friendliness, (5) innovation & collaboration and (6) infrastructure.
