Program areas at Ohio Head Start Association

OHSAI Conferences/Events - OHSAI provides professional development and leadership training for Head Start Agencies in Ohio throughout the year, in-person or virtual conferences.
Parent Ambassador Program - The role of a Head Start Parent Ambassador is to be an advocate for Head Start at the local level and where possible the state and national level as well, and to focus that advocacy through participation in events, social media, and training at all levels. OHSAI also provides a yearlong training to Head Start parents on advocacy, Head Start history, federal budget process, leadership, management, and self-awareness.
Advocacy work This is done throughout the year on a local, state, and federal level. OHSAIpartners with state and local agencies and create collaborations when appropriate.
