Primary purpose: One Apia Nevada exists to engage in direct voter contact for the asian pacific islander american (Apia) community to increase voter turn out and promote issues of importance to the Apia community. As a new entity that started operation in mid-2018, One Apia Nevada spent time hiring and training staff, as well as training volunteers to engage effectively in the legislative and electoral process in Nevada.
Political purpose: One Apia Nevada limited political activity included a joint website with One Apia Nevada pac, distributing literature endorsing legislations and conducted advocacy training on how to take a position on a number of issues that is affecting the asian pacific islander american community.
