Increased sustainability awareness for residents and businesses. OMG sponsored or participated in numerous virtual program discussions on Climate Change, Clean Energy, and sustainable environmental practices during the pandemic and a few in-person events where applicable.
The Wheaton Sustainable Innovation Zone is a joint program with Bethesda Green built on extensive community engagement and strategic partnerships, and offers entrepreneurs and small businesses access to programs and resources while reducing equal opportunity barriers and promoting the Justice40 Initiative/
Community outreach and engagement. OMG partnered, sponsored, or held a few in-person events including a stream cleanup, and outreach booths at environmental events.
