Program areas at One Tail at A Time - PDX

In 2023, we welcomed 232 dogs through our rescue and foster programs, primarily from overcrowded shelters in Oregon and Texas. We provided all the supplies necessary for our volunteer fosters to care for these dogs, as well as all necessary medical care and behavior support during that Time. Remaining foster-based, we also opened our first brick-and-mortar space, an adoption center in ne portland. Our adoption center will be available to house dogs on A temporary and emergency basis while providing A central hub to complete all aspects of our programs, including adoption events, appointments, and expediting adoptions of more dogs. We will also host foster and volunteer trainings and special events for our community, all while recruiting more volunteers and obtaining more engagement and fundraising opportunities through events, merchandise sales, and classes. Our adoption center will serve as A community resource, allowing more animals to be rescued and more humans to be supported.
