Program areas at One Tent Health
One Tent Health offered free, fast HIV screening, voter registration, and naloxone services in the most underserved neighborhoods of Washington, DC. With the help of over 1,000 undergraduate volunteers, along with employed members of the community, One Tent Health also partnered and contracted with the local Department of Health to organize over 100 free COVID-19 testing events in areas of the District of Columbia with the highest need and lowest access to services. Over the course of the year, One Tent Health served over 8,000 people, all without charging any of the people we serve, and had an unofficial COVID testing positivity rate equal to twice the District's average in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022 One Tent Health hosted about 150 COVID-19 testing events in partnership with the Washington, DC government, where 4,409 people got COVID tested for free.
