Program areas at Open Paths Counseling Center
OPCS provides culturally affirmative, trauma-informed individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy to children and adult who could not otherwise afford it. Most clients to this program are self-referred, though some are served through partner organizations. This is Open Path's general counseling program, and includes all non-domestic violence related services, offered either at our center or virtually.
Community Parternship Therapy Program (CPTP) offers culturally affirming, trauma-informed therapists to social services and educational organizations serving low-income, under-resourced communities in Los Angeles at their location, our location, or via Telehealth. Open Paths has become a preferred provider of psychotherapy for nonprofits serving marginalized, under-resourced, communities due to the diversity, quality of care, and professionalism of our clincial team.
Another Way (AW): provides individual and group therapy to both people who are abusive and those who have been abused. AWs domestic violence intervention program is approved by the LA Dept. of Probation, and is highly sought after by clients who are court mandated to seek these services. AW works to end the perpetual cycles of family violence for all who enter this program by working with them to process past trauma take ownership of their actions, build resiliency, and develop positive coping skills for emotional regulation, and teach healthy relationship and communication skills. AW runs five Batterer Intervention Programs (BIP) per week.
