TechnologyAs a key component of OTLs strategy, the Organization expanded its digital footprint across various applications and platforms. Regular updates were made to websites, and bolstered OTLs presence on social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok. This technology-driven approach allowed the Organization to disseminate content more effectively, reaching a wider audience and fostering greater engagement. As a testament to successful digital strategy, OTL now have a million followers across our social media platforms.
TrainingThroughout the project, OTLs team demonstrated a steadfast commitment to content creation and editorial standards. OTL produces and publishes text content daily, while simultaneously enhancing its visual content. Imagery and graphs were integrated into OTLs work to augment the narrative and engage readers more effectively. The Organization ventures into multimedia, producing video content on a weekly or monthly basis, enriches with voice-overs, footage, and thematic music, thus adding a new dimension to its content creation approach.
Content CreationContent creation was central to OTLs mission. The Organization focused on debunking rumors, particularly those fostering hate speech and discrimination against vulnerable groups in Egypt and the broader Arab societies. OTLs fact-checking initiatives spanned a broad spectrum, from scientific misinformation, religious and folk superstitions, to government remarks, and news propagated by text and audiovisual media outlets. The team undertook a unique initiative of fact-checking news related to soccer, acknowledging its influential role in Egyptian society and its potential to fuel rumors and social tensions.
