Operation SPOTs SPAY/NEUTER Program includes the following main components:Our Spay/Neuter Waggin' is a mobile clinic dedicated to providing affordable and accessible dog and cat spay/neuter services to underserved communities through cooperative programs with community partners. In 2022, Operation SPOT provided 1,483 spay/neuter procedures in the Waggin'.Through the TenSPOT Fix, Operation SPOT subsidizes spay/neuter surgeries performed at participating veterinary clinics. Public Information and Education:Operation SPOT advises on public policies about spaying, neutering, and responsible dog and cat care. We also inform the public about responsible dog and cat care. This includes our Free Straw For Warm Paws program, through which Operation SPOT purchases straw for animal shelters to distribute free to the public, to use as bedding for dogs who must be outdoors.
Vaccination Clinics:OpSPOT vaccination clinics provide low-cost and accessible vaccinations for owned dogs and cats in underserved communities. We accomplish this through cooperative efforts with community partners who provide a vital link to the people and resources of their communities. Owners pay the community partner, which OpSPOT then invoices for services. In 2022, Operation SPOT held two vaccination clinics, through which we vaccinated 90 dogs and cats.
