The Optical Women's Association enhances and promotes the leadership role of women in the optical industry through networking, education, and peer support. Professional development workshops provide unique educational opportunities both regionally and online. Networking events offer a forum for exchanging ideas and information among members and non-members representing all levels of the industry. In 2022, several hundred people participated in events held both in-person.

Program areas at Optical Womens Association

Professional development workshops for optical women provided unique educational opportunities, both regionally and in conjunction with major trade shows, and via online webinars, for members and guests to explore topics of interest to women working in the optical industry, enriching their personal and professional lives. Additional resources provided for all members in 2023 include virtual Fireside Chats on professional topics, business book discussions, monthly podcasts, and bi-monthly One-Minute Inspiration eblasts.
Networking events provided a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among women and men, members, and non-members, representing all levels of the industry. Several hundred people participated in and benefitted from the 2023 events held both in-person and virtually.
Leadership Scholarships are awarded every year to exceptional women for the purpose of further developing and enhancing their leadership skills.
