Options for Life

During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2023, the Crisis Pregnancy Center of New Braunfels, Dba Options for Life, saw 944 clients for the purpose of education and guidance regarding unplanned pregnancies. The organization also operates a resource Center which provides clothes and baby supplies. During the year, the resource Center had 2064 visits. The organization offered treatment to those clients who tested positive for sexually transmitted infections during this fiscal year. Education about stis was provided to 50 clients; 10 clients were treated for sexually transmitted infections. The organization teaches parenting classes approved by the Texas department of family and protective services. 237 hours of parenting education were provided to court mandated parents, while 6,593 hours of parenting classes were completed by all others, for a total of 6830 learning hours during the twelve months ended june 30, 2023. Lastly, the organization conducts child safety seat classes in conjunction with the Texas department of state health services' safe riders traffic safety program. 37 classes were conducted and 76 car seats were provided and installed by a certified carseat technician. In addition, 41 car-seat checks were provided for members of the community who already had carseats, but wanted to have them checked for proper installation.
