Program areas at OPW

Optometric Physicians are required to complete 50 hours of continuing education every two years to keep their license active. Opw provides both in-person and virtual education events several times per year for members and non-members to get their required hours and to network with their peers.
Opw unceasingly strives to elevate the standard and ethics of the Optometric profession to ensure that those who have earned the title of doctor of optometry can practice in Washington state to the fullest extent possible.
Since 1935, Optometric Physicians of Washington (opw) has been dedicated to defending, advancing and shaping the future of optometry in our state. Opw advocates to shape policies and legislation that advances optometry's essential and expanding role in health care.
