Program areas at Oregon Center for Public Policy
Economic security. Through research, Policy, and advocacy, ocpp works to create a system where economic mobility is possible, prosperity is shared, and everyone has a voice in shaping our economic landscape. Ocpp works with partners to develop policies that would provide direct cash supports to low-income oregonians.
Tax Policy. Ocpp analyzes economic data to understand trends and drivers of poverty, and how the tax code exacerbates poverty and inequality. We use our analysis to propose policies that would make our tax code more fair for all oregonians.
Workers' rights. Ocpp works to improve the working conditions of oregonians using Policy research and data analysis. In collaboration with labor and workers' rights partners, we advocate for rules that will ensure workers are paid living wages, have good working conditions, and that workers' rights can be enforced.
