Program areas at Oregon Community Food System Network

Ocfsn serves as a supportive Network for the state of Oregon's Food System, hosting and facilitating the following working groups: diversity, equity, & inclusion (working towards creating a platform of leadership for underrepresented communities in our Food System); farming for the future (contains four subgroups: beginning farmer and rancher, land access, connection & succession technical assistance, farm & land viability, and climate, resilience & stewardship); Food hub (connecting Oregon businesses and nonprofit organizations actively supporting our state's local and regional producers in development a local Food System to a scale that is competitive in mainstream markets); policy (Community Food systems at the Oregon legislature and public policy skills and engagement opportunities); snap match (supporting programs that match the supplemental nutrition assistance program); veggie rx (programming with healthcare providers to address Food insecurity and improve health outcomes for patients with diet related disease).
