Development:-secured a grant from the marie lamfrom charitable trust-updated and developed new material for grant applications, presentations, and donor cultivation-identified, cultivated, and stewarded prospective donor relationships, including major gifts prospects-conducted an annual fundraising campaign-cultivated relationships with fee-for-service prospects to assist with securing sustainable funding
Panel development and recruitment:- converted from survey programming by an outside contractor to programming by an employee -transferred panel and survey hosting to qualtrics - using a variety of techniques including social media and print advertising, continued recruiting panel members with a focus on underrepresented general population subgroups including lower levels of formal education; residents of rural and frontier areas; young adults, aged 18-35; those with lower annual income; black, indigenous, and other oregonians of color- continued improvements to the rewards program for panel participation (fred meyer gift cards, in addition to venmo, paypal, or donation to an Oregon non-profit)- continued monitoring of the panel's demographics for representativeness of the state's general population to assist with recruitment targeting and research sampling
Opinion research and communications:8 statewide surveys, 2 surveys of tailored populations, and a substantial, marquis cluster analysis project, including:- research and sample design- questionnaire development- programming, hosting online survey on independent server- online administration and monitoring response for quality- data processing- analysis and reportingfor each survey, three work products:- annotated questionnaire- crosstabulations- verbatims file for responses to open-ended questions sortable by key demographicsplus key-findings memo for each topic covered in the survey, distributed to local news organizations, ovbc panelists, and contacts database of over 400 individuals, and published on the ovbc website for public use.
