Program areas at Oregon Youth Soccer Association
Leagues and tournaments - a program that administers and promotes competitive and recreational Soccer leagues and tournaments. In the fiscal year ended june 30, 2023, Oregon Youth Soccer Association ("oysa") offered competitive leagues in fall and spring. The best club teams in the state compete for the title of state champion. The Oregon state champions advance to the u.s. Youth Soccer far west regional tournament. The winners of the regional tournament advance to the national championships, the most prestigious Youth tournament in the nation.continued on schedule oin addition, oysa through a contract with the portland timbers, manages competitive Youth Soccer leagues. Services provided to the portland timbers for the competitive Youth Soccer leagues include: collecting tournament fees, paying vendors, scheduling the matches, hosting online registration for the leagues, and operating the leagues.
Coaching services - a program that administers coaching clinics and continuing education for coaches throughout the state of Oregon.
Direct membership services - a program that provides direct services to members, including player insurance, national membership, on-line registration, and background checks. The Association's membership currently consists of 83 Soccer clubs, 50,983 Youth players, and 7,884 volunteers and coaches.
Club services - a program that assists in the development of new Soccer clubs and the enrichment of existing clubs. Topsoccer, an outreach program that assists children with disabilities, is included in this category.
