To assist in developing farmworker women to improve their lives and the lives of their families in the areas of violence against women and environmental justice. During the year, the organization accomplished the following: - Peer to peer education to over 35,000 farmworkers women on domestic violence (DV) sexual assault (SA), sexual harassment (SH), census, women's health, and working conditions through over 500 community events via house meetings caravans, virtual meetings, social media posts, tables at health fairs, art exhibits, theatre skits, and in the fields. Lideres' members and staff also linked over 45 DV, SA, SH survivors to available services.
Over the past two years, Lideres has greatly increased its membership base and doubled its staff size.A systematic effort to introduce our incoming members and staff to the culture, philosophy,and our issue campaigns Aimed towards reducing interpersonal conflict. Lideres Board and staff held sessions with the Latino Equity Project on (individual and organizational) internalized oppression and strategies to heal for the health and wellbeing of all the women involved
Took responsibility for the outreach, education and dissemination of COVID-19 information to workers and employers in high-risk industries. Educated and increased an individuals knowledge about how to prevent the spread and mitigate the harm of COVID-19, including vaccination and access to vaccine appointments. Built an individuals awareness and understanding of workplace safety law
