Program areas at Organization for Youth Empowerment
Provide 110 academic scholarships at high school and university level to low income at-risk Youth in tarea surrounding el progreso, yoro in honduras. This included counseling, tutoring and other services to insure their success.
Provide recreational, cultural and skills training in arts, english language, social media awareness. There is also a strong emphasis on computer competencies and graphic design. There is a component that assists the studentes and their parents to start small enterprises to supplement their income. Community service is required in such activities as environmental clean ups, planting trees, and working with younger students in their schools.
Training of approximately 175 Youth in health, personal self awarenesss, civic participation, and leadership skills as well as vocal education and internship opportunities.
