Oriki Arts provides a shared understanding of Africa and Africans through performances, workshops, and community outreach programs. Our Bira healing circles honors the age old practice of the Shona people of Zimbabwe that calls on the ancestors through the musicality of the Bira instrument to heal the land and bring restoration. Every October, we hold Africa on the Plaza, an outdoor multicultural drumming program featuring djembe drumming from Mali in West Africa. We are located in San Jose, CA.
