Program areas at ONIC

ONIC directly operates 786 units of affordable rental housing, and serves as general partner of entities which owns an additional 557 units of affordable rental housing in an economically distressed area of Orlando.
ONIC is an award winning leader in building and operating high quality affordable rental homes in Central Florida. Since 1989, ONIC has participated (as developer or partner) in 24 communities in Central Florida, representing 2856 residential units. During the reporting period, ONIC continued efforts associated with the development of two affordable housing properties.
ONIC's Resident Services (RS) program is committed to improving the quality of life for residents through a broad range of services centered on three core pillars: housing stability, community engagement, and asset building. During the 2023 fiscal year, RS provided essential support, including rental and emergency assistance, unemployment benefits, food delivery, and access to health services. The program also organized community activities to combat the lingering effects of isolation that persisted even as the pandemic receded. Throughout the year, RS engaged in 1,311 interactions with 11,564 participants, of which 2,325 were unique individuals. The program also benefited from 2,487 hours of volunteer service provided by 199 unique volunteers. While the pandemic's impact diminished, RS services remained crucial in addressing both the ongoing effects of the pandemic and the evolving needs of the ONIC community.
