Program areas at Our Voice Our Vote Arizona
Issue advocacy in 2023, we continued Our grassroots advocacy efforts to mobilize communities around a shared vision for Arizona. This program engaged community members and local leaders to identify key issues and build strategic policy agendas. We facilitated ongoing dialogues between advocates and policymakers, securing commitments to implement community-driven solutions and achieve significant policy advancements.
Relational organizing in 2023, we strengthened Our relational organizing efforts to create equitable spaces for historically underrepresented communities to build collective power. We focused on relationship-building and skill development through leadership and advocacy initiatives, enabling these communities to actively engage in civic life and promote transformative change.
Leadership development Our leadership development program focused on empowering emerging leaders through various initiatives centered on organizing, advocacy, and policy-making. These initiatives provided participants with the training and experiences necessary to create and lead policy-focused agendas, ensuring their voices and priorities were represented.
