Program areas at PVPSA

PVPSA (Pajaro Valley Prevention & Student Assistance) is committed to protecting the health, wellness, and safety of the families in the Pajaro Valley and its surrounding areas through the delivery of our behavioral health programs and services. During FY (Fiscal Year) 22/23, PVPSA served over 8,000 children, youth, and families with over 150 parents/or caregivers receiving parental education groups and family support. Additionally, PVPSA supported local families with access to financial and food assistance (2400+ families). We also work in multiple collaboratives in our community providing therapeutic services to trauma-impacted individuals/families who are referred to services from our multi-disciplinary team partners, PVPSA was also able to serve about 37 individuals in this program.Our counseling & prevention programs include Kids Korner elementary counseling program, middle and high school counseling services, tobacco use prevention & education, alcohol & drug prevention treatment and moderate-severe mental health services through an established partnership with Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties Behavioral Health Departments and Pajaro Valley Unified School District.
