Tenant Organizing and Leadership Development Helps residents to organize formal tenant associations and empower community residents to hold landlords accountable.
Homeownership Provides technical assistance and training to tenants associations enrolled in the Tenant Interim Lease (TIL) apartment purchase program, Affordable Neighborhood Cooperative Program (ANCP). We also assist and organize shareholders living in low income Housing Development Fund Corporations (HDFC).
Legal, Mediation and Referrals Provides direct legal and mediation assistance by acting as a tenant or tenant association representative.
Youth (Stand & Deliver) Supports the development of academic and social skills of the youth residing in our Community.
Homeless Prevention A community-based intervetion program with a bottom-up approach that combats illegal evictions and prevents the loss of New York City's rent-stabilized and rent-controlled affordable housing stock. The program aims to identify tenants at risk of homeless; address their critical need to remain in their homes, and ensure that their homes are safe and affordable.
Bodega Fridays Bodega Friday is a weekly food program that distributes high-quality groceries and essential supplies to Harlem residents in an effort to improve access to nutritious food and expand economic security. The program helps address the root causes of food insecurity, like the high cost of living and lack of access to affordable housing.
