Program areas at Palm Beach County Medical Society Services
Project access project access has been delivering pbcmss's vision for a healthier Palm Beach County since 2005 by helping residents overcome social and economic barriers to access screenings, referrals, resources, and specialty Medical care. Its care coordinators schedule appointments on behalf of qualifying participants who meet financial eligibility criteria. This means high-risk patients gain access to a network of volunteer physicians who donate their time and expertise to the project access volunteer health care network. Beyond physicians, its care network includes diagnostic centers, imaging facilities, and hospitals. Healthcare emergency response coalition (herc) herc develops and promotes the healthcare emergency preparedness, response, and recovery capability of Palm Beach County, Florida. It offers a forum for the healthcare community to interact with one another and other response agencies at County, regional, and state levels to promote emergency preparedness. It coordinates and improves the delivery of healthcare emergency response Services, fosters communication between local, regional, and state entities on community-wide emergency planning, response, and recovery, ensures overall readiness through coordination of community-wide training and exercises, and promotes preparedness in the healthcare community through standardized practices and integration with other response partners. Opioids task force the opioids task force develops myriad resources to educate physicians and patients navigate the growing challenges of the opioid epidemic, including podcasts, continuing Medical education segments, videos, psas, and summits. Pbcmss advocates on behalf of Palm Beach County physicians and patients to ensure that opioid-related legislation takes a common sense, patient- centered approach.
