Program areas at Panah Charity Foundation
Panah Charity provided basic food supplies packages to 1800 poor and homeless families in Afghanistan throughout 2022. These are families with young children living below the poverty level. Panah Charity provided flour, rice, cooking oil, tea, sugar, beans, daal, & macaroni. Distribution of food packages fed 12596 individuals for a month for a total cost of $107217. Total allocation cost of transportation to distribution sites, banners, and some small miscellaneous expenses included.
Panah Charity provided heating supplies, food supplies, warm clothing to children, and blankets to hundreds of homeless families in 2022. Winter in Afghanistan is deadly and homeless families usually need lots of support in the winter season. Cost of heating supplies provided in Jan, Feb, Mar, Nov, and Dec of 2022 was $33965 US dollars. Cost of transportation, banner, and labor on the distribution included.
Panah Charity provided monthly sponsorship to about 115 poor widows with young children and disabled individuals who can not work. With a minimal monthly support, the families were able to buy food for their children and survive. Also Panah Charity helps some very poor college students with their school supplies, clothing, and transportation expense in order for them to continue with their college education. Total cost of monthly sponsorship program was $88266 in 2022.
Panah Charity provided humanitarian aids to many needy families throughout the year 2022 including supporting families in emergency situations. Such as providing meat, school supplies to poor children, humanitarian aid to orphanages, covering medical expenses including cost of surgeries/hospitalization for needy individuals, bread, nutritional food to needy children, and many more. . . Total expense of these type of humanitarian aid to families was $65497 US Dollars. Cost of providing meat in Eid Qurban to families and children including in this total was $23976 US dollars.
Panah Charity Foundation supported 23 shopkeepers in 2022 to become self-sufficient and earn enough to feed their families by providing supplies to their shops. Total cost of this small project was 2990 US dollars.
