Head Start - This program funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services provides a child education program for 816 children of ages three through pre-school. This program is offered throughout the City of San Antonio.
Early Head Start - This program funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services provides a child program for 216 children of ages six weeks to three years. This program is offered throughout the City of San Antonio.
Early Head Start- Child Care Partnership(120 Children)and Early Head Start Expansion (120 Children): The purpose of this program is to allow new or existing Early Head Start to partner with local child care centers and family child care providers serving infants and toddlers from low-income families.
Head Start/Early Head Start II- This program funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services provides a child education program for 340 children of ages three through pre-school and for 88 children of ages six weeks to three years. This program is offered at several sites throughout the City of San Antonio.
Head Start CRRSA/ARP:Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) is a federal stimulus relief funding in response to COVID-19.American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 provides additional relief to address the continued impact of COVID-19 on the economy,public health, state and local governments,individuals,and businesses. All Head Start, Early Head Start,and Early Head Start-Child Care (EHS-CC). Partnership grantees were eligible to receive additional funds proportionally based on funded enrollment levels.
Ad Hoc/Child Care Relief Funds (CCRF) This fund generally accounts for unrestricted funds for use by PCI. It also includes funds received through the Texas Workforce Commissionas part of the Child Care Relief Funds program.Funding is provided by the Amfunds received through the Texas Workforce Commission as part of the Child Care Relief Funds program. Funding is provided by the American Rescue Plan Act.
Children Feeding Program Day Homes - This program funded by the US Department of Agriculture provides reimbursement of meals to licensed Day Home providers.
Child Feeding Program Centers- This program funded by the US Department of Agriculture provides meals to enrollees of the Headstart and Early Head Start program to as well as Head Start enrollees. of other area agencies
