Program areas at Parents For Public Schools of Greater Cincinnati

Parent engagement programs (pep) build the skills and knowledge of Parents to help them become authentically engaged education partners. Pep encourages and trains parents/guardians to be more effective advocates for the children of the Greater Cincinnati area and to work with other Parents, community members, schoolteachers and administrators. Skills learned are essential for successful partnerships in Schools and are transferable to the work place. Additionally, under the pep umbrella we offer staff development for district staff members, assist with developing parent and/or community based learning communities, and facilitate community conversations. Sample training topics include: 1.analyzing and using student and district data to impact student achievement 2.communication and learning styles to successfully partner with Schools 3.understanding school accountability
