Program areas at Parents Invincible
To further its mission, Parents Invincible works with families, school partners, and community leaders to identify resources for Parents and their students and make Parents connect with those resources. Parents lnvincible's outreach organizers conduct outreach via attendance at local communityevents, phone banking, house visits, one-on-one meetings, emails, andcanvassing.an early example of Parents lnvincible's work is its development of the united Parents council which is a group for Parents with students across all school types, that meets monthly to discuss education. The united Parents council works closely with school and community leaders to share ideas, and bring issues to light. Parents have used this space to discuss what their schools do well as well as issues or concerns they have with their school choice. Similarly, Parents Invincible created a homeschooling cohort to provide Parents who choose to homeschool their children with a way to connect with other Parents who homeschool their children, and to provide a place where these Parents can learn more about resources available for those who homeschool. Parents Invincible spends roughly 50 percent of its time on outreach, and the other 50 percent of its time on connect Parents with resourcesand with each other.parents Invincible is primarily funded by contributions from publicly supported organizations and the general public. On average, Parents Invincible spends an estimated 15 percent of its funds on identifying resources for Parents, 60 percent of its funds on outreach, and 25 percent of its funds on connecting Parents to resources and each other.
