Harwood park harwood park, llc on behalf of harwood park:continuing its focus on building urban Parks and green space in Downtown Dallas, the Conservancy works collaboratively with the city of Dallas park and recreation department on park development activities including the 3.8-acre harwood park, the last of four priority Parks identified in the 2013 Downtown Parks master plan update. Harwood park llc purchased land for this park in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The park was completed and opened in september 2023.direct expenses: $6,724,307; overhead allocated to activity: $461,170; total expenditure for direct charitable activities: $7,185,477.
Civic garden:downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy, in partnership with the city of Dallas park and recreation department, Dallas news corp., maureen h. and robert w. decherd, designed and managed the construction of civic garden, which opened to the public in may 2012 and was the second park in the 2004 Downtown Parks master plan to be completed. In 2018, Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy renewed an agreement with the city of Dallas park and recreation department to oversee specific aspects of this park'Parks's maintenance. In 2023, the Conservancy oversaw daily fountain testing and maintenance, managed a robust tree care program, maintained the landscaping, and planted hundreds of native and adaptive perennials.direct expenses: $200,391; overhead allocated to activity: $13,744; total expenditure for direct charitable activities: $214,135.
Carpenter parkcarpenter park llc, on behalf of carpenter park:continuing its focus on building urban Parks and green space in Downtown Dallas, Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy works collaboratively with the city of Dallas park and recreation department to support the 5.6 acre carpenter park, the second of four priority Parks identified in the 2013 Downtown Parks master plan update to be developed. Planning and design of this park began in 2015 and construction began in late 2020. The park was completed and opened to the public in 2022. In 2023, the Conservancy managed the repair and restoration of robert berks' bronze statue in the park, commissioned a traffic study, and installed safety bollards at key intersections. Direct expenses: $188,618; overhead allocated to activity: $12,937; total expenditure for direct charitable activities: $201,555.
