Parkview health system, Inc. maintains foundations for each of its hospitals. These nonprofit organizations provide philanthropic support for the system's mission of providing quality health services to all who entrust their care to Parkview and improving the health of the communities Parkview serves.the staff at Parkview Huntington Hospital Foundation, Inc., builds lasting relationships that foster gift-giving for the benefit of caregivers, Hospital programs and services, as well as new equipment. These relationships are made with Huntington memorial Hospital, Inc., co-workers, physicians, vendors, patient families, and the broader(see schedule o for continuation)community. These efforts help make Parkview Huntington Hospital Foundation, Inc., benefactors a collection of caring individuals who recognize Huntington memorial Hospital, Inc., as an agent for saving and changing lives and a force for creating healthier communities for generations to come.among the improvements to patient care that gifts to Parkview Huntington Hospital Foundation. Inc., funded in 2022 are:- the Foundation continued its commitment to help maintain the highest standards of training and certification of Hospital co-workers with another year of appropriations for the clinician education fund and the remembering holly fund education and training. There were eight opportunities for nurses in 2022, for both onsite and remote training. Those front-line staff members from clinical departments were able to take advantage of advanced, specialized instruction and share best practices with their supervisors and co-workers.- in 2022, the Foundation was able to host the first fund raising event since the pandemic. The lights to remember event gave patients and their loved ones the opportunity to honor those they had lost by lighting candles in their memory. The Foundation was also active across the Hospital with outlays in response to requests from several departments and specific service areas. The Hospital's emergency department received new oximeters and clothing for patients who could not wear their clothes after receiving treatment. Pediatric physical therapy equipment including pediatric scales and physical therapy mats were purchased for the rehab & wellness area. The Foundation also provided a blanket warmer to the medical infusion unit and provided support opportunities for Parkview hospice services at the Hospital and in patient homes in Huntington county.- the jill dreyer scholarship, which is administered by the Foundation, provided funding to five Hospital co-workers pursuing accredited nursing studies in 2022. In addition, the fourth year of the Parkview Huntington spirit of service scholarship awards, also administered by the Foundation, provided funding to three community students pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields.
