For Fiscal Year 22/23: Over 10,000 individuals served 185 Burnsville Fit Families 5K participants 3,231 Sizzlin' Summer Series participants 120 Home Remedies Community Clinic partcipants 320 prescription drug lockboxes distributed 205 hours of Afterschool Youth Programs
--Cougar Fit Club after-school program for Mountain Heritage High School students was re-envisioned with 19 student participating through out the year. --Community Amabassador Real Equality (CARE) provides 9 bi-lingual, bi-cultural ambassadors to support the Hispanic/Latino community through information dissemination, resource sharing, and trust building. PATH trained all Yancey County Schools Health and PE teachers in vaping and substance use prevention materials.
--The Home Remedies program provided online courses with evidence-based strategies for pain management and stress reduction. --The Summer Food Program provided six deliveries of fresh produce and dry goods to 96 families this summer, and we also held Student Choice Markets with over 470 participants --Toe River Racqueteers had 80 youth participate in a 4-day tennis camp and a 2-day pickleball camp. Tennis racquets were given to participants as needed. --Appalachian Youth to Youth returned to 4 local middle schools. --Fiesta Mexicana Celebration commemorated Hispanic Heritage Month with over 500 attendees
