Major school choice expansion as the North Carolina General Assembly was able to pass a bi-partisan budget that includes our school choice priorities, including: Scholarship maximum increases from a flat $4,200 to 90% of the States public school per pupil spending for a full-time student (45% for part-time students), which is approximately $5,900. The State may contract with a nonprofit to provide outreach and assistance to families as they navigate the scholarship process.
