Partners in Restorative Initiatives works to instill restorative practices in schools, courts, and communities. The organization is committed to impacting the culture of its community by building and sustaining relationships and creating change in hearts and minds through restorative practices rooted in indigenous pe. In 2022, PiRI's team of trainers and facilitators supported 30 schools and organizations in Rochester, training over 2,000 people to build relationships and repair harm through the power of restorative practices. PiRI laid the groundwork for meaningful change.

Program areas at Partners In Restorative Initiatives

PiRI trainers and facilitators worked with over 50 schools and organizations in 2023 and trained over 2,000 people across Rochester to engage in Restorative Practices as leaders and peacemakers, including students at Edison Tech, Franklin Upper School, and School Without Walls at no cost to the Rochester City School District; youth and staff at Teen Empowerment; and members of the 585 SNUG (Should Never Use Guns) outreach team. PiRI has also responded to the Surgeon General's warning about loneliness and isolation by starting monthly Connection Circles at Fairport Public Library.
