The organization produces, duplicates, and distributes strong healthy decision-making and drug educational materials for use by hundreds of media partners throughout the State of Iowa. The organization also distributes a training manual, materials, video, and CD-ROM (also available on the web site) to assist in developing Drug-Free Workplace Programs for companies and businesses (originally developed by The Face It Together Coalition). The organization has developed a "Media Literacy" curriculum for students throughout the State of Iowa. The organization sponsors, prints, and distributes the brochure "Take 5" to assist parents in discussing the use of drugs with their children; and with Mediacom has developed a periodic television program "Drugs and Children: Secrets for Parents" that is broadcast on cable throughout the State on Mediacom. The organization hosts town hall meetings throughout the State. The organization maintains a web site at DrugFreeIowa.org.
The organization contributed $5,000 to The Partnership at DrugFree.org (now Partnership Drug-Free Kids), a 501(c)(3) organization, as a part of its alliance membership with the national organization.
The organization developed and sponsored a Digital Literacy Conference on November 10, 2017, in Ames, Iowa, to assist educators, health professionals, prevention professionals, and others in teaching digital useers how to harness the power of the digital world and minimize the risks and maximize the benefits of growing up in a fast-changing digital world. The Conference addressed attention disorders, bullying, cyber-bullings, obesity, school performance, and substance abuse, among other behavorial risks that can be influenced by media interactions. Nearly 200 attended the Conference.
