Program areas at Partnership for Community Action

Partnership for Community Action (pca) is a 501c3 established in 1990 working alongside Community to build power toward system level change. Our mission is to dismantle systems of inequity by investing in people and families to build power, working locally and spreading across new mexico. Pca collectively celebrated the overwhelming passage of ca1 legislation in support of quality education for new mexico children. The passage will have intergenerational impact for the state and shows movement toward a robustly and fully funded quality education system for all children. Pca envisions engaged, healthy, vibrant communities in which everyone has quality education, wellness, and economic opportunity.
In 2023, pca continues to solidify its position in the alternative economic development ecosystem. Since its grand opening in the summer of 2023, the south valley social enterprise center (sec) has centered itself in Community led development and its commitment to economic equity through social enterprise. The 17,000 square foot center is a place based model, strengthening existing partnerships, providing living wage jobs and holistic programming in support of thriving families. With the passing of ca1, pca is working alongside families, home based childcare providers, and Community to support of quality education for new mexico children. Pca continues to activate Community and build a movement toward a robustly and fully funded quality education system for all children.
