Program areas at Partnership for Indigenous Peoples -pipes - International
EMPOWERMENT: The empowerment program includes Socioeconomic Development, training, and Missionary Support. PIPES is concerned for all people, especially those living in poverty, the vulnerable, and those negatively affected by financial difficulties. We support community development programs to alleviate poverty and suffering among indigenous and low-income communities. We empower local leaders to take charge of development in their communities. The programs include farming, small business initiatives, sewing skills, savings, healthcare awareness, and jigger treatment and insurance premium payments. We also respond to disasters by providing emergency food and healthcare to the most vulnerable communities.
EDUCATION. Education is a powerful tool for empowerment, and more so for vulnerable children in developing nations. Through child scholarships and the development of educational facilities, many children in Africa have had the opportunity to receive a quality education. We support over 1000 students in Subsaharan Africa and Asia to access quality education, thus giving them a brighter future and opportunities. We have demonstrated God's love and given hope to thousands of children and their families. Quality education for children is a priority and should be made available to all.
DISCIPLESHIP: PIPES mobilizes teams for short and long-term cross-cultural missions, where teams share the gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple Christians to be rooted in their faith. We organize annual mission trips to Africa and Asia, where we do evangelism, conferences, training, and seminars for local leaders and community members. For consistency and growth, PIPES develops discipleship materials for spiritual formation. Staff and volunteers conduct weekly Discipleship Bible Studies in Africa, Asia, and the United States.
