Program areas at PFNYC
Leadership and outreach: The Partnership is a nonprofit membership organization comprised of a select group of approximately two hundred fifty ceos (partners) from New York City's top corporate, professional services and investment firms and representatives of The entrepreneurial and small business sector (associate partners). Members work closely with government, labor and The nonprofit sector to enhance The economy, improve public education, and upgrade The infrastructure of New York. The Partnership holds more than 90 meetings each year with leaders of government, business, labor, and The civic sector.
Research and policy: The Partnership conducts research, surveys, and analysis of issues and projects that will have an impact on The local and state economy. In 2022, The Partnership continued to assist The New York City public schools (nycps) on career-connected learning initiatives by increasing industry engagement overall. The Partnership holds a leadership role on The citywide student pathways advisory council, which provides industry input into curriculum, policy recommendations to support career-connected learning and acts as an ongoing resource for nycps. In 2022, The Partnership continued its work in corporate social responsibility with a focus on supporting The work in education and workforce development that individual member companies are already undertaking.
Government affairs: The Partnership is a resource to public sector decision-makers at The City, state and federal levels of government, providing expertise and advice on issues that affect economic growth, business development and job creation
Program service expenses: $382,120, grants and allocations: 0, revenue: 0 transit innovation Partnership (The tip), included The transit tech lab, co-founded by The mta and The Partnership fund for New York City to make New York The global leader in public transit, provides a pathway for growth-stage companies to efficiently solve public transportation challenges. Winners of previous competitions include remix, a collaborative digital platform used to redesign The bus routes, axon vibe, which built The essential connector smartphone app to help essential workers plan journeys during overnight subway disinfection closures, and navilens, which enables visually impaired and limited english proficiency New yorkers to better navigate The subway and bus systems.
