The Partnership for Responsible Business accomplishments during 2014 included the following:DEVELOPED "BUY-LOCAL" PROGRAMS INVOLVING AT LEAST 500 BUSINESSES IN LAS CRUCES, AND 250 IN SANTA FE.THE PARTNERSHIP PROVIDED SUPPORT, TRAINING AND COORDINATION FOR BUSINESS LEADERS THROUGHOUT NEW MEXICO WHO CAN SPEAK ABOUT THE ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF TRANSITIONING TO A CLEAN ENERGY ECONOMY.CONDUCTED OUTREACH TO BUSINESSSES ON THE KEY ISSUES CONCERNING THEM, INCLUDING ENERGY, WATER, AND QUALITY OF LIFE CONCERNS.PROVIDED RESOURCES FOR BUSINESSES TO ENGAGE IN DISCUSSION AROUND THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF RIO GRANDE DEL NORTE AND ORGAN MOUNTAINS DESERT PEAKS NATIONAL MONUMENT DESIGNATION TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND THE STATE. CIRCULATED AND OBTAINED SIGNATURES FOR A LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR FEDERAL CONSERVATION POLICIES AMONG BUSINESS LEADERS THROUGHOUT NEW MEXICO.CIRCULATED AND OBTAINED SIGNATURES FOR A BUSINESS PLEDGE TO SUPPORT GREATER TREANSPARENCY FOR MONEY IN POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS.HOSTED A FLY-OVER OF CHACO CANYON AND THE GAS FIELDS IN NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO TO DEMONSTRATE THE IMPACT OF GAS DEVELOPMENT NEAR PROTECTED LAND. MANY MEMBERS OF THE CONGRESSIONAL OFFICES AND PUEBLOS WERE IN ATTENDANCE.HOSTED THE ORGAN MOUNTAINS DESERT PEAKS DESIGNATION EVENT IN LAS, NM ATTENDED BY INTERIOR SECTRETARY SALLY JEWELL, SENATOR MARTIN HEINRICH, AND MANY LOCAL LEADERS.ADVANCED THE DISCUSSION OF ECONOMINC BENEFITS OF PUBLIC LANDS AROUND THE NATIONAL MONUMNET DESIGNATION OF RIO GRANDE DEL NORTE. HIGHLIGHT ELEMENTS OF CONSERVATION AND CLEAN ENERGY POLICIES OF INTEREST TO BUSINESSES. INITIATED PROGRAMS TO ENCOURAGE BUSINESSES TO BECOME MORE ECO-FRIENDLY AND ENERGY EFFICIENT.
