Homeconnecticut initiative: homeconnecticut is a broad-based collective impact initiative of partners working to ensure everyone in Connecticut has access to safe, stable, accessible, and affordable housing in the community of their choice. Homeconnecticut provides statewide convening around collective goals: increasing rental assistance and investment in affordable housing; advancing housing quality, safety, and justice; removing barriers to affordable housing production. This initiative brings together diverse partners, including researchers, housing developers, advocates, and state agencies. The initiative structure includes a coordinating committee and an advisory committee that meets regularly to foster political support, align power, and mobilize for housing policy advocacy. The Partnership organizes educational events that increase the knowledge and broaden the base of those who care about housing. We produce an annual series of iforums and webinars that explore the connection between housing policy and various disciplines, including education, environmental quality, transportation, health care, food security, community development, and more. We host an annual Connecticut affordable housing conference where people can learn, share, and collaborate on solutions to expand housing access, equity, and justice in Connecticut. We produce policy briefs, gather information, and aggregate research and reports to inform state policymakers, municipal officials, and broader community stakeholders. Our executives and policy and research staff speak at conferences across the state, region, and nation. The Connecticut affordable housing conference (cahc) is our annual opportunity to convene, collaborate, and drive meaningful change to improve and expand housing affordability, creation, choice, and stability across our state. The cahc is a multi-day conference offering a diverse array of sessions tailored to advocates, policymakers, housing and service providers, lenders and funders, and the public. Each year, we spotlight strategies and solutions that help advance the vision that everyone in Connecticut has a safe, stable, affordable home. Cahc content is free to all thanks to our generous sponsors.
