Program areas at Partnership for Sustainable Aid
Training and Education: Partnership for Sustainable Aid (PSA) networks with groups, families,& communities in several impoverished countries to discover ways to overcome poverty, become self- sufficient, and reach their God given potential. Walking alongside our partners through mentoring & monitoring, we discover opportunities to access sustainable solutions for clean water and sanitation, food security, child development/protection & education until partners achieve sustainable results. Additionally, PSA indigenous partners host vocational training, lectures, and seminars to develop practical skills within poor communities. Primary school age children are equipped with uniforms and study supplies necessary to participate in public education.
Relief - Locally based survey teams access distress areas determining local intervention needs, addressing emergency aid, working with effected populations to formulate plans to progress from dependency to recovery, and sustainable development. PSA works with refugees, IDPS (Internally Displaced Persons) and local groups to create clean water, waste management, school facilities, micro-economic, agricultural solutions in flood and disaster areas. PSA together with local volunteers, equips communities receiving IDPS & refugees, is creating upgrades schools and outreach facilities including appropriate educational equipment for learning and community care environments. In crisis areas, PSA distributes rice and other survival commodities, such as blankets, hygiene packs, Personal Protection Equipment for Covid-19, etc.as needed.
Development: PSA partners with poor communities as they develop appropriate clean water, waste management and sanitation solutions. Training through participation offers opportunities for communities to gain skills ensuring future sustainability and creation of new inputs. New Community Care Centers sponsored by local churches with the inputs from PSA and the community, offer adult education classes in some cases; others host community meetings and or childcare and/or nutrition programs for school aged children. Trafficked women, children & orphans receive ongoing care through facilities with trained care givers. They are provided opportunity to be reunited with their families or to be raised in a protected and nurturing environment. Young adults departing orphanage programs receive support for further vocational training to equip them with sustainable skills for independent living.
