Program areas at Passion and Compassion
Passion and Compassion's main program is food distribution to resident's of Prince George's County, Maryland, and the surrounding area. Passion and Compassion addresses its community's need for fresh, nutritious food that is both affordable and accessible. This is accomplished by: 1 weekly produce distributions throughout Prince George's County, 2 partnering with local organizations to provide them food, 3 offering an accessible food pantry for low-income families, and 4 providing a Community Food Hub for cold and dry food storage. Through these efforts in 2023, Passion and Compassion partnered with 10 food donors and 21 hunger-fighting partners, who recovered and distributed 2.8 million pounds of food to 220,000 individuals.
