Program areas at Pastoral Institute

In 2022, the Pastoral Institute is outpatient mental health treatment included approximately 1,683 diagnostic evaluations of new clients. There were 15,260 total outpatient sessions provided to adults and another 908 hours for non-therapy, wellness services. The sarah t. butler children's center provided 4,284 outpatient sessions to children andadolescents. In addition, there were 97 hours of group therapy delivered.training of mental health professionals as residents and interns work directly with our communities most vulnerable population. In 2022, we had one resident, one intern, and three doctoral students. These students worked at two local shelters and on campus providing 1,224hours of direct services that included group therapy, individual therapy and for doctoral students psychological testing and counseling training.the Pastoral Institute provides employee assistance programs (eap) to over 74 local organizations. The eap allows employers to give their employees (and their families) with individual, couples, and family counseling. Over the year we were able to provide 3,787 sessions for these eap partner participants. We provided trauma and crisis response to 56 individuals totaling more than 18 hours. In 2022 we served also 28 churches with 969 hours of direct services of counseling to their parishioners through the congregational care program(ccp).our community engagement reached in the community through health fairs, wellness sessions, virtual & live events, and community events that were provided mental health and wellness information in-person and virtually. This engagement included reaching 4,836 people through 207 hours of training and 16 health fairs. Our digital videos reached 1,800 people through youtube and were viewed 140 hours. Our mental wellness videos produced for muscogee county school district were distributed to more than 30,000 students and staff.
