Program areas at Pasture Valley Children Missions
Orphanage Support. Provided for the care of orphans located at Pasture Valley Children's Home in Nhlangano, Eswatini and Ekuthuleni Mission Station in Ekuthuleni, Eswatini and children who needed help but could not get into an orphanage. We provided ongoing secular and Christian education, clothing, food, transportation, daily tutoring, etc. We also provided food parcels to over 400 children living without parental supervision due to death from HIV/AIDS and paid school fees for them as well.
Job training and entrepreneurship including the Bambanani Project. Provide hands-on skill training to women and unemployed, unskilled youth so that they can make a living.
Vulnerable Family Support. Provided assistance with food, school uniforms, school fees, access to medical care, clothing, and plowing crops for homestead villages in Mhlosheni, Eswatini, and provided seed, fertilizer, and garden tools. We also rebuilt a village after a storm destroyed the family buildings, community kitchen, and outhouse.
Renewable Energy Entrepreneur Training Program for Youth. We are working with the children who are aging out of Pasture Valley Children's Home as well as local youth who are unemployed to teach them the technologies of renewable energy (solar energy and biomethane for rural villages without electricity) to provide job skills. We are also teaching classes to help them learn skills to run a business.
