Program areas at Path with Art
Artremedy - individual arts engagement supports approx. 1,400 systems impacted individuals and families in recovery from trauma, and 65 social service agencies through year-round trauma-informed, accessible, professional level arts education. In 2023, trained and employed 55 teaching artists and 72 volunteers in the principles of healing-centered arts engagement across a wide variety of disciplines including music, performing arts, visual and literary arts in both in person and online settings. Digital devices and internet access are provided for those who would not otherwise be able to participate.
Artworks - Path with Art's leadership program is open to participant artists who have earned a certificate of achievement provides professional development opportunities for participants in peer mentoring, Art sales, and opportunities for instruction.
Arthome - a significant achievement in 2023, is the build out and opening of the arthome, an inclusive, community arts and performance hub. This 5,000 square foot accessible space creates opportunities for increased engagement with the broader community, while allowing for deeper engagement and exploration with participant artists.
Path with Art (pwa) served over 1,400 systems-impacted individuals + families from 60+ social service, health, and residential agencies. In 2023, Path with Art trained over 55 teaching artists in the principles of trauma informed care from a wide variety of disciplines including visual Art, music, theater arts, literary arts, and recording arts (such as podcasting). The majority of participants served in 2023 identified as bipoc, over 500 as veterans. Over 90% of participants self reported pwa programs improved their mental/behavioral health, and 30% reported an improvement in physical health. In 2023, Path with Art launched a research and learning collaboration with johns hopkins international arts + mind lab to determine the effects of pwa Art and community based programs on health and well-being.
