Program areas at Patient Safety Movement Foundation
Psmf developed a priority system to revise and update actionable evidence-based practices for the leading causes of preventable Patient deaths. Among the first protocols to be revised and updated by psmf and leading subject matter experts are: healthcare-associated infections, Patient falls, pressure ulcers, medication errors, communication errors. Psmf team has gained new hospital commitments and outlined the importance of data transparency to obtain hospital metrics to assess the effectiveness of implementing the protocols within their organizations. Our actionable evidence-based practice blueprints simplify the understanding of the best practices and expedite the adoption of gold standards of care. Our actionable evidence-based practices remove the burden from the clinical team, (continue sch o) regardless of their level of experience, and create systemic improvements to eliminate Patient harm. Hospital commitments from healthcare organizations across the united states and aboard have committed to implementing psmf's actionable evidence based-practices to improve Patient Safety outcomes within their organizations. Two of the most recent healthcare organizations to join this imitative are children's hospital of orange county and hospital general de mxico "dr. eduardo liceaga." Psmf's global reach is expanded through the unique educational opportunity provided to healthcare professionals around the world to expand their knowledge in the theory and practice of Patient Safety. The program shares teachings and practices for fellows to advance issues of Patient Safety in their home communities, workplace, and professional settings.
